Per the note below, #1 seems to have fixed getting all of the texts from people (I thought I was getting them, but apparently not all of them). #2 Fixed getting group texts, but only on WiFi. #3 let me start getting group texts over. I read on another thread that turning 'wifi calling' off will allow the pictures in a text to download normally while you are on wifi. I tried this and it worked. Obviously, the wifi calling should not make a difference, but apparently it does. Would be great if someone from ATT would respond to this issue.
Group messaging not working fix #2: Perform a soft reset. Should force closing or restarting the messaging app won’t help, you should follow it up with a soft reset. This is basically a restart.
