Torrents wont download delug qbittorrent

There were 4 seeds for a short while at the beginning of the download before one dropped off. Despite this, uTorrent took 3 minutes and 2 seconds to download the same file, with an average download speed of kB/s. While this download was also relatively fast, it still took more than a minute longer than qBittorrent. qBittorrent , Windows 10 (Fall Creators Update) What is the problem: No connections when using a Socks5 proxy server. Adding a Torrent with over seeds stays at "downloading metadata" with 0 seeds and 0 peers. Appears unable to make any connections. Downgrade to qBittorrent OR turn off proxy server (bad) and torrents immediately. When I am using a VPN I am unable to download torrents. I have tried it on 3 different torrent clients (qBittorrent, Deluge, and Transmission). Deluge just says "Checking" and never begins downloading. qBittorrent says "stalled" next to the torrent and Transmission does not say anything and just doesn't download.
